The Puma M36 command vehicle is an APC with a re-arranged interior and is fitted with an additional battery pack with split charging system. The exterior is the same as that of the Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC).

The interior consisting of radio racks, pull-out worktables and crew seats can be
configured to suit the requirements of the users.

The crew consists of a driver, vehicle commander plus 5 crew members in the command compartment.
